Cheely Ann is staying strong as she fights the cancer battle for her son, Richard Aiden (RJ), diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma in September 2014. 20 mothers in her Bergenfield, New Jersey community, take turns helping Cheely Ann with the day-to-day family responsibilities—cooking, taking there daughters to and from school, and other chores. Her daughters, Cassey, (12), and Abbey (9), are surprisingly doing quite well in school despite their baby brother's struggle with cancer.
The FilAm community pulled together a fundraiser for RJ. Jessy Daing Musbeh and singer Angel Ram, organized a musical concert on January 9, 2015 to raise funds for RJ’s medical bills. Marisse Panlilio of MPE Entertainment has offered to sell ‘RJ’s Battle, Our Battle’ T-shirts with part of the proceeds going to the family.
