Janet Susan R. Nepales, GMA Network's correspondent in Los Angeles, has won third prize in the Best Columnist or Critic-International category of the Los Angeles Press Club’s Annual Southern California Journalism Awards held recently at the Biltmore Hotel.
Nepales writes the weekly column Hollywood Bulletin in Manila Bulletin, also won for her article titled “Robin Williams: ‘Just Dance On My Grave.’” Last year, Nepales won second place in the same category for her column titled “Meryl Streep On Growing Older, Wiser…And Not Scary.”
Nepales, who was recognized by the Filipina Women’s Network (FWN) in 2013 as one of the “100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World,” is also one of the featured authors in the FWN’s first book titled, “Disrupt.”
