The Technology + Public Policy Fellowship provides an undergraduate with the opportunity to learn about technology and public policy issues through hands-on experience in Washington, DC. The Fellowship provides a student with a full scholarship to attend the Capital Semester program in Washington, DC. This fast-paced, residential program provides students from around the world with the opportunities to gain an edge in today’s competitive job market and graduate school admissions, as well as experience the excitement of Washington first-hand.
Program Components
• Internships – Placement with the government affairs office of Hewlett Packard
• Classes – 12 transferable credit hours in economics and government from George Mason University
• Housing – Roommate matching and furnished apartments in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of DC
• Guest Lectures – With Washington’s top policy, economics, technology and media experts
• Exclusive Briefings – At Capitol Hill, World Bank, Federal Reserve and State Department
• Leadership & Professional Development – Leadership, mentoring and career building activities
• Networking – Interaction with seasoned professionals and student leaders from around the world
