Launched in 2010 by the Global Fairness Initiatve (GFI), the Global Fairness Award honors individuals who “highlight the power of bringing together top-down opportunity and bottom-up leadership to drive change”.
The Filipino Veterans of World War II Congressional Gold Medal Act of 2015 passed the US Congress after the House of Representatives approved it on November 30th. The bill unanimously passed the Senate earlier this year on July 13, and is now one step closer to becoming a law, pending President Barack Obama’s signature.
The Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. is hosting Talakayan sa Pasuguan with Philippine Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chairman Andres Bautista on Thursday, 10 November 2016 at 6:30 PM.
