Three Filipina women are included in Forbes Asia’s power businesswomen list this year. These women, said Forbes, are active in the upper echelons of the business world, wield significant power and have access to robust financial resources.
Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. Chairman Helen Yuchengco Dee; Teresita Sy-Coson, vice chairman of SM Investments and chairman of Banco de Oro Unibank; and Zenaida Rustia-Tantoco, chairman and CEO of SSI Group and Rustan’s Commercial were in the list, representing the Philippines.
Fifteen other countries were represented, among them China and Hong Kong with 14 women, followed by India with six, Thailand with five, and Singapore with four. South Korea, Australia, and Indonesia also have three, while Japan and Vietnam each have two. Malaysia, Taiwan, Myanmar, Mongolia and New Zealand have one each.
