Stella Abrera, Filipina-American, joins the ranks of American Ballet Theatre's principal dancers alongside Misty Copeland, the first African-American female principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre (ABT). Stella Abrera is the first Filipina-American principal ballet dancer for American Ballet Theatre.
She joined American Ballet Theatre as a member of the corps de ballet in 1996 and was appointed soloist in 2001.
