"Like many American-born Filipinos growing up, I always wondered why there were never any Filipino restaurants around. Why has Filipino food never become mainstream like a lot of the other Asian cuisines out there, especially since we were such a big population. I want to help change this and be a part of the next generation of “entrepinoys” looking to elevate our cultural cuisine to the next level. Opening this restaurant will fulfill my college dream of helping to give back to the community in a way I have never been able to do before with just my ongoing volunteer work." —Jennifer Villamin
