Nina Coloretti Confirmed By U.S. Senate As 2nd Top Housing Official (HUD)

The U.S. Senate confirmed 68-28, Hawaii-born Nina Coloretti's appointment as deputy secretary, the 2nd most senior official, at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  Making her the highest ranking Filipino-American & the 4th female deputy secretary in the Obama administration.

As the new Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, she will manage the Department's day-to-day operations, including an $45 billion annual budget and approximately 8,500 employees.
