She also participated in two radio talk programs - KPRR with Emmie Anderson and KNDI Radio Talk, on Global Filipina Leadership.
Female pilots are rapidly increasing and earning their seats in the cockpit in the male-dominated airline industry with Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines records showing that there are now 25 certified woman pilots operating planes across the country in the first quarter of 2015.

New York City’s main agency for economic development will be run by Maria Torres-Springer, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Monday.
The mayor appointed Ms. Torres-Springer, who had been running the city’s Small Business Services agency, to succeed Kyle Kimball as president of the Economic Development Corporation. Mr. Kimball resigned in March and joined the utility Consolidated Edison last week.
Voices of Our Nation Arts Foundation (VONA) has offered workshops to writers of color, launched community writing programs and events, hosted faculty readings, and more. Originally based out of San Francisco, it's making its new home at the University of Miami, with the continued goal of providing more opportunities to young writers who might otherwise be overlooked.
