FWN Board Member Thelma Boac (US FWN100™ '07) was recently recognized by the Ivy Rose Community Foundation and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ETA Rho Omega Chapter for her outstanding community involvement as Board Trustee of the Berryessa School District and her 37 years as an educator and school administrator in San Jose, California. Thelma was selected as one of the 2015 Distinguished Women awardees. A reception was held this past Saturday, November 29th at the San Jose Fairmont Hotel.
Other awardees include Christine Pelosi, Darcie Green, Jacqueline Copeland-Carson, Gloria Whittaker-Daniels, and Rev. Dr. Jacqueline Thompson.
The recognition celebrates the significant accomplishments of women who are trailblazers in their fields and are well respected within and beyond their Bay Area communities.
